Margaret Warren is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and a signature member of the Texas Watercolor Society, the Southwestern Watercolor Society and the Nevada Watercolor Society. She is a regular prize winning exhibitor in regional shows and  in gallery shows in San Antonio, Austin, and Kerrville. Her work is featured in "Color & Light for the Watercolor Painter" by Christopher Schink, and in recent issues of "Watermedia Focus" and "Artist Magazine". Her work has been shown at the Nueva Street Gallery in San Antonio for the past dozen years. In addition, her work may currently be seen at Gallery Soco in Austin.

Margaret works in watermedia on paper and on canvas. Many of her pieces are oversized to dramatize her use of large simple shapes and vivid color fields. Two recent series, "Waterfront" and "Dockside", focus on images associated with ships and harbors. These are rendered as large, designed pieces using acrylic on canvas or bpard and more intimate pieces done with casein on rice paper. Another   series,"Windows", explores various aspects of chaos in a world after Nine Eleven. Currently her work focuses on Texas Hill Country subjects including cypress trees along Hill Country rivers and creeks and ever present cows who preside over Hill Country pastures.
